In this most joyous of seasons, I want to extend a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all HANA members and their families, advisors, supporters, and the community. While we take time to remember the gifts we all are so thankful to receive or to give, we should also take time to remember those less fortunate than us and take this opportunity to give back to our communities, here and abroad.
This season may look different for each of us because of our varied traditions, such as singing Christmas Carols in church, decorating our Christmas tree and our houses, baking cookies, and traveling to meet families from afar. But at the core, our traditions are what keeps us unique. In this season, let’s reflect on the rope that unite us all: compassion, family and friends, resilience during the pandemic season, gratitude and service, and love for our community.
Thank you for all you’ve done.
I’m filled with gratitude for the entire organization and its members, and the opportunity to serve as the 17th President. This coming year, we will encounter new opportunities, along with challenges, and we will face them together as a unified force, not only to improve the lives of others but also to elevate each other.
Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays, from our family to yours!
Rose Valcin, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, President of HANA of Florida, Inc.
