CNAs are health care members of the health team who provide intimate, hands-on care to patients in medical settings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). CNAs check vital signs, assist patients with bathing, ambulating and other daily activities.
Special thanks, Mr. Fermin Vasquez, President of Miami Dade College, North Campus for introducing this new initiative at the general membership meeting of HANA. He invited HANA Members with a BSN or higher degree to apply at MDC to become instructors for the CNA program. Hoping to offer a program in Creole in the near future.
